Japanese doesn't have the custum to sign for identification same as Europian. Officially, "HANKO" stamp is much more important than a signature and a Japanese signature need to be strict handwriting not same as a unique signature.

I designed this signature on Feb. or Mar. 1994, not to strain a hand by simplifing the characters. It was designed recently, so the signature is changing a little now. I designed and engraved the "RAKKAN" stamp, perhaps, on Mar. 1989.

The characters are"KAKI-KYO-JIN", mean "Oyster-Mad-Man" It isn't that I love to eat an oyster. I know the words "KAKI-KONJYO, KAKI-TEKI-SEIKATSU" by Soseki Natsume expresses "the perverse character or a man of few words or silent living like an oyster" And I know the "GAGO" pen-name of Hokusai, "GA-KYOJIN, GA-KYO-ROJIN" means "Painting-Mad Man, Painting-Mad-Old-Man" "KAKI" means "Painting" also "the character of Oyster". So my stamp is a parody of that.
Of course My monogram is originated from Durer's to show my respect.
