ere, you can see the edge of GANPI, very thin traditional Japanese paper, as different value of yellowish color.
I used the sheet size of GANPI as same as image size, 265mmx525mm for earlier prints.
But, later I use the bigger sheet size of GANPI covering whole sheet. For
it was difficult to handling GANPI.
It needs much more careful working for longer rectangular shape to put
,spread and get rid of wrinkles of GANPI on the copper plate. A long rectangular
shape sheet is much more easily wrinkled than a regular square.
I needed, perhaps 30 or 40 hours to engrave
only the characters on the margin. These
work is often monotonous, but very good work
to recognize the skill of engraving. For
later two engravings, I engraved the same
characters again.
